Welcome to Nigerian Dwarf Acres

We raise a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats on the farm, we have registered through the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) and unregistered. These goats are known for their even tempers and gentle, playful personalities.  They are easily trainable and wonderful with children, making them great family pets, hobby farm milking goats and show goats! Another appeal of the Nigerian Dwarf Goat is their milking ability and compact size. When milking, they produce around 3 to 4 pounds of 6-10% butterfat milk PER DAY. Their milk is high in protein and has a rich, sweet taste that can’t be beat. In addition, their milk can also be used to make cheese, lotions and soaps.
Nigerian Dwarf Goats can be bred year round, however we choose to breed once a year in the fall, resulting in a spring kidding season. We typically have dam raised kids but occasionally will have bottle kids. Kidding season is a busy time, but so worth the work! 
As our herd grows, we will begin offering some of them for sale to good homes. Goats are herd animals and must be sold in pairs or sold to homes that already have goats for companionship.
